Parent company : multinational company operating agricultural trading, processing, logistics, and investment businesses in nearly 40 countries, including the Americas, Europe, Asia‑Pacific, and other regions.

Job Summary

Responsible for executing and managing international agricultural commodity trading activities, encompassing market analysis, deal execution, client and supplier relationship management, and cross‑border trade operations.
Reporting to the Head of International Commodities Trading, the role sits within a team of 12 members focused on global agricultural trade and is expected to deliver profitable, compliant, and well‑structured transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Execute spot and forward commodity trading transactions, negotiate prices, payment terms, and logistics conditions with global suppliers and buyers.
Conduct fundamental and market research on supply–demand dynamics, macro trends, tariffs, quotas, and regulatory developments to identify and capture trading opportunities.
Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, customs brokers, and financial institutions to ensure smooth import and export execution, including documentation and scheduling.
Monitor and manage market, credit, and operational trading risks, and propose suitable risk‑control measures and hedging strategies.
Maintain accurate trading records, prepare regular performance reports, and provide clear analysis of profit and loss, position exposure, and market developments.
Develop and maintain strong client and supplier relationships, expand the counterparty network, and explore new business channels and markets.
Ensure full compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and internal company policies in all trading activities.

Ideal Candidates

Bachelor’s degree preferably in International Trade, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
2–3 years of direct experience in international agricultural commodity trading and cross‑border trade operations, ideally with exposure to Asia or global markets.
Solid understanding of tariffs, quotas, import/export controls, and commodity pricing mechanisms.
Familiarity with trade documentation (e.g., contracts, letters of credit, bills of lading) and common trade finance instruments.
Fluent in English and Mandarin, with strong written and spoken communication and negotiation skills.
