C2iVect Limited is a biotechnology company providing innovative solutions for screening and controlling disease vectors, such as mosquitoes, ticks, and the pathogens they transmit that cause diseases in humans.

Part-Time Field Assistant (Ref.: C2iVect-001) – Field Mosquito Surveillance

Applications are now invited for appointment as Part-Time Field Assistant (Ref.: C2iVect-001), to commence in May 2026, on a 10-month contract basis with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

The appointee will join a multidisciplinary research team to assist in mosquito surveillance. The job duty involves outdoor field work and sample handling. The appointee is expected to work in a team, with strong sense of punctuality and responsibility.

Responsibilities:

Plan and organize weekly field routes based on study locations and schedule
Set and retrieve mosquito traps in the field
Collect, label, and transport samples to the laboratory through cold chain
Maintain accurate field records (locations, dates, environmental conditions, trap performance)
Clean, maintain, and prepare field equipment for subsequent use
Communicate regularly with the research team regarding progress, issues, and field conditions

Requirements:

Ability and willingness to work outdoors
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized field protocols
Good organizational and time‑management skills; able to work independently once trained
Language: able to communicate in Chinese or English; basic written Chinese and English preferred
Previous field or laboratory experience in biology, ecology, entomology, or public health is a bonus but not required; training will be provided

Schedule:

Part-time: 1-2 full days per week (approximately 8 hours/day), 3-4 weeks per month
Position will start in May 2026 and continue until February 2027, with potential for extension depending on project needs and performance
