The Role:

We are looking for an experienced HR & Administration professional to take ownership of our people and operational processes. You will work closely with our payroll vendor (who handles MPF and payroll processing) – your role is to coordinate, review, and verify data, not to calculate or declare manually. You'll also manage recruitment, employee relations, office administration, and help build scalable HR systems from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Operations & Vendor Coordination

Manage day-to-day HR tasks including onboarding, offboarding, attendance tracking, and employee records. Liaise with our payroll vendor on MPF registration, contributions, payroll processing, and commercial medical insurance – review and verify vendor outputs to ensure accuracy and compliance with Hong Kong regulations.

Full-Cycle Recruitment

Lead hiring efforts: develop recruitment plans, source candidates (tech platforms, industry communities, etc.), screen resumes, coordinate interviews, manage offers, and guide new hires through onboarding – with a focus on technical and support teams.

System & Policy Building

Establish and continuously improve HR policies, internal processes, and administrative systems (e.g., office software accounts, internal system access), adapting to the fast pace of the generative AI industry.

Employee Relations & Culture

Handle employee inquiries, support relationship management, and organise team activities to build a sense of belonging.

Office & Administration

Oversee daily operations: office space management, supplies procurement and inventory, meeting coordination, and other logistics to ensure a smooth working environment.

Requirements:

5+ years of combined HR & administration experience, with practical exposure to both large corporations and startups – able to adapt flexibly to different needs and scales.
Full-cycle recruitment experience; familiarity with tech industry talent profiles is a strong plus.
Proven ability to build HR systems and draft policies from scratch (or significantly improve existing ones).
Knowledge of Hong Kong labour laws, MPF regulations, and commercial medical insurance arrangements (sufficient to review and verify vendor work).
Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Comfortable handling multiple tasks independently and embracing the "all-rounder" rhythm of a startup.
