About the Role

As the Head of Marketing & PR, you will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive marketing plan to engage members, generate revenue, and elevate the brand of the Hong Kong Football Club. This will involve developing content across various channels, fostering an engaged community, and driving measurable business results.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the team to add value to tournaments, events, social media, public relations and internal member communications
Work closely with the management team to attract a larger pipeline of enquiries for membership, commercial partnership and catering and events opportunities
Track and grow the incremental commercial revenues from partners, sponsors and events
Develop and implement a marketing plan and lead the Club’s member engagement and experience strategy through communications, digital platforms (member app and website), events and content
Create engaging, on-brand content (e.g. videos, images, articles, events) to educate, entertain, and inspire members
Manage the Club's social media presence, including regular posting, community engagement, and running targeted campaigns
Oversee email marketing initiatives to nurture member relationships and promote Club offerings
Track and analyze digital performance metrics to continually optimize content and strategy
Own all PR activities in-house for the Club and major events, including media strategy, narrative development, event communications and crisis management
Partner with the sections to drive the marketing campaigns as One Club
Collaborate with other departments to align PR and marketing initiatives with the Club's overall business objectives
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in marketing, PR and member engagement Experience

Requirements

Degree holder in Business Management, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Sports or a related field
Minimum 7 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably within the Club/ sports/fitness industry
Strong knowledge of, and passionate for fitness and sports, and for delivering exceptional member experiences
Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing plans and strategies
Excellent writing, editing, and visual design skills
Proficient in social media management, email marketing, and web content management
Solid understanding of digital analytics and ability to measure and report on campaign performance
Excellent project management skills and strategic thinking
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally
Good command of Cantonese and written Chinese is a plus
