Responsibilities

The appointee will be responsible for managing the Executive Support functions of HKCAAVQ, he/she is required to perform the following tasks as allocated by the Directorate led by the Executive Director:

To provide support on issues related to the HKCAAVQ Ordinance, appeals and reviews, judicial reviews and litigation.
To oversee, manage and conduct investigations on complaint cases and issues, and be responsible for the overall quality of complaint management.
To prepare analyses and policy papers for senior management, including strategy formulation and implementation.
To provide secretarial support to meetings of HKCAAVQ Council, committees, task force and ad hoc groups, including preparation of agendas, papers, minutes, and follow-up actions as appropriate.
To prepare speeches and circulars.
To assist the Senior Manager (Corporate Services) in the areas of Council and Executive Support and in Corporate Communications.
To support the development and establishment of positive partnership among key stakeholders locally, regionally and internationally.
Any other duties as directed by the Executive Director.

Requirements

Applicants should possess a university degree comparable to HKQF level 5, preferably in a relevant discipline, with at least 8 years of relevant post-qualification work experience. We are looking for an individual with excellent organizational and management skills. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua). The candidate should be a proactive and self organized leader and also excel as a team player who can effectively collaborating with staff across the organization. A good understanding of the education system in Hong Kong is essential.

Conditions of Service and Application Procedures

Initial appointment will normally be made on a two-year contract subject to renewal. We offer competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, contract-end gratuity, plus fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits.
