A dynamic media planning & buying agency
Minimum 5 years' exp in media planning/sales within financial sectors
Proficiency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin is a MUST

Our client is a dynamic and innovative media planning and buying agency specialising in delivering comprehensive media solutions to financial services clients worldwide. With a commitment to excellence and a strong global presence, they are expanding into the APAC region and seeking an experienced Account Director to join the Hong Kong office.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the growing APAC operation. You will manage and grow relationships with existing clients in the Asset Management Industry, ensure first-class service delivery, and drive new business opportunities across the region.

The Hong Kong office will play a pivotal role in supporting regional clients, coordinating with global, and capitalising on new opportunities in the Asia-Pacific market.

You will receive full training and support. This role requires autonomy and the ability to act quickly across different time zones.

Responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing local, regional, and international clients in Asset Management.
Serve as the main point of contact for client inquiries, ensuring efficient and proactive communication.
Understand client needs and identify opportunities to add value through media strategy enhancements.
Collaborate with internal teams globally to deliver solutions that meet client objectives and service expectations.

New Business Development:

Identify and engage potential financial services and B2B clients in Hong Kong, Singapore, and other APAC markets.
Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
Represent the firm at local industry events, conferences, and networking functions.
Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations showcasing our agency’s capabilities and value proposition.

Publisher Landscape and Innovation:

Build and manage relationships with major media owners, financial publishers, and ad tech partners across Asia.
Stay informed of emerging trends in digital advertising, programmatic buying, and media innovation.
Collaborate with partners to identify new opportunities and pilot regional initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Proven experience as an Account Director in the financial services or B2B media sector.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in media planning, media sales, or account management, ideally within the financial or B2B sectors.
Strong understanding of financial products, regional market dynamics, and digital media landscapes across all APAC regions.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in English; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is a must.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and collaborate effectively with international teams.
Willingness to travel within the Asia-Pacific region as required.
