Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Senior Manager (Corporate Affairs), the Assistant Technical Officer will assist to ensure the safe, smooth operation and maintenance of the Lam Tin Complex. This role handle full-cycle project management, from initial additional and alteration planning to daily maintenance, while fostering a service-oriented environment for all building users.

Job Responsibilities:

To handle and execute all aspects of facilities and project management, renovation, additional and alteration (A&A) projects, general administration and other duties as assigned;
To prepare specifications, drawings, quotation invitation, analysis, evaluation and recommendation;
To perform technical investigation on building and building services defects, and recommend for preventive / corrective measures;
To coordinate and monitor service providers, contractors etc. to ensure quality service/works and implementation in accordance with planned schedule and works are statutory compliance including health and safety standards and building regulations;
To prepare and execute annual maintenance plan and budget etc.;
To supervise Property Assistants and coordinate their work arrangements for daily operation and to enhance client service for end-users; and
To liaise and work closely with internal and various external stakeholders such as inter-departments, consultants, contractors, suppliers, utility companies, Government bodies, and end-users, etc. to resolve necessary operational issues.

Requirements:

Higher Diploma/Associate Degree or above in Building Surveying / Building Services Engineering or related disciplines;
At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in project management, renovation projects, A&A works are highly preferred, candidates with less experience will also be considered;
Familiar with relevant regulations, procedures, standards and codes of practice;
Ability to work independently, self-initiative, responsible, hardworking and willing to learn;
Proficiency in computer literacy, relevant skills and experience on AutoCAD will be a definite asset;

The successful candidate will normally be appointed on contract terms. Renewal of contract will be subject to the service/operational needs of the department and the candidate’s performance.
