Regional Accountant (Part Time – 3 Days/Week)

The APLMA is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Regional Accountant to support finance operations across our Headquarters (in Hong Kong), Australia, and Singapore branches.

Reporting directly to the COO, you will oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities and coordinate closely with our outsourced accounting partners to ensure accurate and timely management reporting and statutory compliance.

This position is a hand on, operational role suited for a qualified accountant who enjoys working for a not for profit making organization that offers a stable work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day accounting matters for Hong Kong, Australia, and Singapore operations.
Liaise with outsourced accounting firms to ensure timely completion of monthly management accounts and statutory filings (including Australian BAS, Singapore GST, and Hong Kong Profits Tax).
Monitor cash flow and assist with fund transfers.

Review monthly management accounts prepared by external providers and prepare internal monthly budget monitoring reports and forecasts.
Support budget tracking and conduct basic variance analysis.
Assist in the annual audit process by preparing required schedules and coordinating with auditors.

Provide administrative and operational support to the leadership team as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or relevant qualification is highly desirable.
5 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to regional operations.
Strong understanding of accounting and tax regulations in Hong Kong and Australia, or Singapore
Proficient in Xero, Peartree and Microsoft Excel.
Experience working with external accountants and auditors
Fluent Cantonese; excellent spoken and written English
