About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Talent Advisor to support our dynamic team at a leading Global Investment Bank in Hong Kong. The role is ideal for a consultative partner to business and talent acquisition leaders. You will design and deliver talent strategies that address complex hiring needs, drive operational excellence, and elevate the candidate and hiring manager experience.
Operating at the intersection of sourcing strategy, talent intelligence, and stakeholder engagement, you will influence decisions that shape workforce planning and talent outcomes. You will collaborate closely with Talent Sourcing Partners, Recruiting Coordinators, and client hiring teams to ensure alignment between talent acquisition efforts and business objectives.
This role goes beyond requisition management—you will serve as a trusted advisor on talent market trends, competitive intelligence, and best-in-class hiring practices, while driving solutions that balance scalability, quality, and speed.

Key Responsibilities
Sourcing and Recruiting
- Leverage online recruiting resources, in-house applicant tracking systems, and internal/external networks to identify and source qualified candidates.
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates.
- Proactively recruit, qualify, and identify candidates for all open positions, including development of minimum and preferred candidate qualifications.
- Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.
- Use effective communication approaches, including proactively keeping others informed and appropriately expressing ideas and thoughts verbally and in writing.
- Develop an effective pipeline of key talent potentially available for immediate hire as succession planning needs dictate.
- Develop, facilitate, and implement all recruitment policies and procedures, including all phases of the recruitment process.
Relationship Management
- Confer with senior leadership to identify personnel needs, workforce planning strategies, and search assignments.
- Initiate and maintain excellent working relations within the client’s Human Resources organization.
- Manage a candidate care and ensure a positive experience for all candidates in the recruitment process
- Process Management
- Manage and coordinate communications with candidates and vendors.
- Develop complete and detailed job descriptions ensuring understanding of job duties, responsibilities, and business requirements.
- Interview all candidates presented for detailed interviewing by hiring managers, including the use of face-to-face behavioral-based interview methodologies.
- Coordinate the scheduling and logistics of all interviews with recruiting coordinators.
- Organize, lead, and document post-interview debriefs/feedback and post-mortems with interview teams and candidates.
- Manage the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in full lifecycle recruiting.
- Conduct follow-up calls and quality-improvement studies with hiring managers and new hires.
- Maintain accurate and well-organized documentation on all candidates, searches, hiring manager interactions, and other recruiting activities to ensure a thorough audit if required.
- Extend offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and within the guidelines of the client’s compensation policy.
Management and Training
- Use effective communication approaches, including proactively keeping others informed, appropriately expressing ideas verbally and in writing, and meeting deadlines.
- Work cooperatively with all members of the staffing team to develop and implement staffing plans and activities.
- Train and educate managers on the recruitment process.
- Provide training and communication awareness.
- Compliance & regulatory adherence reporting / market intelligence.
Reporting / Market Intelligence
- Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to remain competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices.
- Utilize internal HR recruitment systems to capture all recruitment metrics and trends.
- Ensure data quality for all recruitment reports.
- Assist in preparation of QBR.
Administrative
- Perform other related and ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years managing full lifecycle recruiting,
- 5+ years in Advisory or senior-level recruitment position.
- Prior experience recruiting within the financial services industry is a must.
- Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.
- Knowledge and extensive past use of a server-based applicant tracking system.
- Excellent prioritization, writing, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to develop business cases and service requirements, while creating and managing strategic alliances.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Ability to exercise sound discretion and independent judgment.
- Strong work ethic, communication, and client orientation skills.
- Ability to quickly learn systems, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to quickly assimilate technical information and build solutions that balance business needs, competitiveness, and resource constraints.
- Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, and deadline-focused environment.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be internet and social media savvy, specifically with websites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Strong project management skills.
Location
- For candidates based in Hong Kong, this role will be hybrid: 4 days in the Hong Kong office and 1 day remote.
