Administrative Manager Office of the Vice President (Research and Development)

We are seeking highly skilled and motivated Administrative Managers to join our dynamic team, providing support to the Office of the Vice President (Research and Development). The appointees are pivotal to maintaining the Office's daily operations and contributing to the University's strategic growth. Key responsibilities include:

Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure efficient and effective office operations;
Undertake data analytics and intelligence work to support strategic research development;
Prepare proposals, reports and related documentation;
Organise and support strategic initiatives;
Collaborate with both academic and non-academic units to streamline processes;
Work closely with internal and external parties in discharging the responsibilities; and
Assist with ad-hoc assignments and any other duties as assigned/delegated by the Vice President or his/her delegates.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree, with preferably 7 years of post-qualification full-time working experience, ideally at the executive level in tertiary education institutions. Prior experience in administration at a University-level office is preferred. They should have high proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua), excellent organisational, communication, analytical, and IT skills. They should also possess a strong sense of confidentiality, be detail-oriented, self-motivated and highly adaptable to changing environments, as well as capable of working under a tight timeline and willing to occasionally work beyond standard office hours. The appointee may be required to travel outside of Hong Kong and undertake work as assigned by the University, where necessary.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term contract. Fringe benefits include the University’s Voluntary Contributions to MPF Scheme or a contract-end lump sum payment (totalling up to 10% of the basic salary), leave, medical and dental benefits. Appointee of the Administrative Manager post will hold a substantive rank of Executive Officer I in the University.
