Transmission cable jointing
Operation & maintenance of transmission cable system
Cable damage prevention

Responsibilities :

To assist senior in carrying out transmission cable jointing, sealing end assembly work, installation, operation & maintenance of transmission cable system accessories, and various alarms associated with the transmission cable system
To assist transmission cable fitters in carrying out cable fluid treatment for transmission cables, conducting cable fluid feeding in conjunction with transmission cable jointing and O&M activities
To assist engineers in conducting tests and works on the transmission cable systems
To conduct cable patrol for underground cable damage prevention

Requirements :

HKCEE or DSE with pass in both English and Chinese language;
Completion of Craft Apprenticeship of Cable Jointer (Power) or equivalent;
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience in power cable jointing work at 132-kV or above;
Knowledge and basic skills in power cable jointing work at 132-kV or above
Self-disciplined, self-motivated with good communication and interpersonal skills with others
Good command of both spoken and written Chinese. Able to understand simple English
Willing to perform outdoor manual work
Able to interpret assembly drawings, tools and equipment O&M manuals, etc.
Holder of a valid driving license for Class 1, 2 and 18 is an advantage
