Pricing Associate / Senior Associate APAC

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Pricing Associate / Senior Associate APAC to join the Business Development Department of Asendia APAC. Reporting to the Pricing Director APAC, you will predominantly be responsible for pricing management and analysis to develop a culture of quality and cost consciousness. You will evaluate our market positioning, supplier costs and product profitability in collaboration while maintaining data accuracy with the supply chain, sales team and other departments. The position is to be based in Hong Kong or Singapore.

Your Tasks

Pricing Management

Prepare pricing models and rate cards for the key customers based on business requirements with the participation from the business stakeholders.
Maintain up-to-date rate cards, factoring considerations such as seasonal surcharges in an accurate & timely manner.
Create and maintain the pricing tools for sales teams to ensure scalability in response to our increasing business activity.
Analyse supplier cost and pricing change to evaluate margin implication.
Lead new pricing initiatives, like pricing segmentation strategy for new market
Support the supplier cost bundle set up and maintenance in pricing and billing system.

Pricing Analysis

Collaborate with sales team to monitor the numbers and types of pricing offer to customers and analyse the trend.
Assess the competitiveness of Asendia’s pricing against the prices offered by competitors.
Work with commercial analytics team to prepare the monthly pricing and profitability review meeting for management.

Your Profile

A. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Finance, Economics, or other highly analytical field is preferred, with at least 5 years of experience in pricing or commercial analytics. Experience in the postal or express industry will be an advantage.
Experience in an analytical-focused business role and broad business awareness with knowledge in e-commerce parcels, export parcels, the packets market and mail delivery business will be beneficial.
Data savvy and analytical to interpret opportunities, trend and issues in data and market information, and work with large amount of data to perform quantitative analysis, identify value adding business insights and model data.
Proficiency in analytical / database programs and data analysis and reporting tools like Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Tableau, PowerBI and SAP will be beneficial.
Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to negotiate with and influence stakeholders and prepare presentations using Microsoft Powerpoint.
Strong interpersonal skills are required to work effectively with teams from various backgrounds and cultures in an international environment.
Able to work independently and think critically to make objective decisions under stress.
