The School of Graduate Studies is established for strengthening the central support for postgraduate programmes as well as the monitoring of their quality in alignment with the University’s strategic direction of expanding and providing quality postgraduate education.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support in a wide range of duties pertaining to Taught Postgraduate (TPg) programmes including, but not limited to, admissions, formulation of academic policies and regulations, academic development, quality assurance and enhancement of TPg programmes offered by different faculties and schools in the University
Provide secretarial support for programme reviews and validation exercises, and ad-hoc committees
Provide administrative support for TPg related teaching and learning enhancement initiatives at the central level
Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree
5 years’ relevant experience, preferably with tertiary education institutions
Relevant administration experience in supporting academic quality assurance and enhancement of higher education programmes and committee work
An excellent command of written and verbal English and Chinese (including Putonghua), especially with an advanced level of English proficiency in writing reports, proposals and minutes
The ability to take the initiative and to carry out duties independently and under tight schedules
Good logical thinking, analytical, interpersonal, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
A strong sense of responsibility
A good knowledge in IT applications

Salary and Fringe Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
