Job Description

What you'll do:

Implement and administer government funding programmes related to Chinese medicine development in Hong Kong.
Review and assess government-funded programme applications, and prepare detailed reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor the progress of government-funded projects and review progress reports submitted by grantees for funding disbursement or approval.
Handle enquiries and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
Organize and facilitate meetings of the Advisory Committee and various working groups, including preparation of meeting papers and related liaison work.
Lead digitalisation initiatives to enhance and maintain the funding programme database, and assist in providing regular analyses of programme progress and achievements.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

You'll be a good fit if you have/are:

A Bachelor’s degree or above in Public Health, Chinese Medicine, Science, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
A postgraduate degree in Epidemiology or Biostatistics would be an advantage.
Experience in administering government funding schemes and/or government-funded projects is an advantage.
Experience in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for Chinese medicine manufacturing is an advantage.
Knowledge of Chinese Medicine, the Chinese Medicine industry, and/or related research is beneficial.
A strong work ethic; mature, self-motivated, and adaptable, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and Chinese word processing.
Candidates who can demonstrate knowledge of AI, or experience and ability to apply Generative AI tools in their work, will be preferred
A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.

Note:

1. Applicant may be considered for other positions if not matching the requirements of the subject position.

2. This is a fixed-term contract position for a period of 24 months subject to renewal

HKPC will take into consideration both the quantitative and qualitative requirements of the post when selecting the suitable candidates. A competitive salary package commensurate with academic qualifications and experience will be offered. The successful candidate will be employed on a fixed-term contract basis, which is renewable subject to appointee’s performance and the Council’s development needs.
