Contract Analyst Programmer (C36478) - Java

Project Nature:

Development And Maintenance of Mobile Applications And Web Applications of the department.

Duties:

Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the department;
Design, implement, rollout, and maintain mobile applications and web applications;
Research for, evaluate, and propose technical solutions for overcoming technical difficulties in IT projects;
Perform software testing and assist users in performing user acceptance tests;
Review documents and program codes delivered by contractors;
Assist in project administration works.

Requirements:

Solid and hands-on programming experience in recent years
Hands-on experience of web application development or mobile application development
Ability to work with modern IT technologies (e.g. web app servers, database, cloud/container platform, AI)
Experience of working with web application firewall or reverse proxy is a plus
Good command in spoken and written English and Chinese
Security vetting is required

Technical Skills:

At least 2 years' experience in JAVA Programming;
2 years' experience in SQL*PLUS/PL/SQL/PRO*C (OPL) is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Web Programming is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Client/Server Application Development is an advantage;
2 years' experience in JBoss Application Server is an advantage.

Non-technical Skills:

2 years' experience in work with the Government is an advantage;
2 years' experience in Government procurement/disposal procedures is an advantage;
2 years' experience in IT procurement is an advantage;
2 years' experience in vendor management is an advantage.
Bachelor's degree/Higher Diploma in Computer Science, IT or equivalent;
At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 3 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
