Drive growth and influence complex, international façade projects
As part of Hilti’s global business development community, you will be responsible for growing a portfolio of key international façade accounts by building strong, strategic partnerships with façade consultants and contractors across the full design, manufacturing, and installation lifecycle. You will provide high quality technical and engineering consultancy to strengthen commercial relationships, define and execute account strategies, and leverage Hilti’s global direct sales network to drive technical specifications by orchestrating a global team associated with these accounts.
What You'll do
As the International Business Developer, you will build strategic alliances with consultants and contractors, establishing Global Framework Agreements and driving strategic account development plans. You will focus on developing contractor projects both within and outside the hosting country, ensuring overseas business growth across relevant geographies while maintaining strong communication throughout the team and organization. A key part of the role is developing sustainable technical partnerships and integrating Hilti solutions into customers’ global supply chains and standard design details. You will autonomously manage the project development pipeline, collaborate closely with cross-regional teams and technical experts, and engage with senior management to deliver consistent, high-impact results across Hong Kong and international markets by coordinating a global team associated with these accounts.
- Drive business development for key global façade accounts across multiple markets, maximizing share of wallet and long term growth and develop strong relationships within the global façade community, including senior and C level stakeholders.
- Lead and support cross functional teams to drive account plans, strengthen technical capability, and implement global segment strategies as well as establish, implement, and maintain global framework agreements with strategic accounts in collaboration with key stakeholders by building and managing a strong global specification pipeline for Hilti façade solutions across curtain wall and ventilated façade systems.
- Achieve sales targets for volume, mix, profitability, and pricing at account and segment levels and ensure high conversion of specifications into realized sales through close coordination with sales teams and project tracking.
- Represent Hilti at major industry events and contribute to thought leadership within the façade industry and deliver value added technical consultancy through seminars, workshops, and CPDs to developers, consultants, and contractors.
- Build and elevate the technical competency of regional and local teams in Hilti’s key façade applications, ensuring strong expertise and consistent execution across markets.
- Support PMO engineering services, material forecasting, and accurate sales reporting to ensure effective execution across regions.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Façade, Structural, Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Proven experience within the façade industry (engineering, design, consulting, or contracting) with strong exposure to specified technical or engineering solutions minimum 5 years or strong business development and sales experience for specified facade engineering products or technical solutions of minimum 10 years of experience.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to define direction, influence without authority, and translate strategy into clear, actionable plans.
- Strong capability to manage multi level stakeholder relationships, including senior and C level decision makers.
- Self driven and autonomous, with disciplined planning skills to manage priorities and targets across weekly, monthly, and annual horizons and demonstrated success in business development and solution selling, with the ability to articulate system level value propositions to customers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong negotiation ability and the confidence to engage independently with customers.
- Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, with strong verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with diverse, multicultural stakeholders.
- Solid product and application knowledge, enabling confident engagement in the majority of technical discussions without reliance on back office support.
- Proven project management capability to navigate complex, cross functional, and multi geography initiatives.
- Strong networking skills, both internally and externally, with the ability to navigate organizational processes and build long term professional relationships.
