Position Overview

You will oversee end‑to‑end payment operations for the Hong Kong and APAC offices while remotely leading the Accounts Payable team based in our APAC offices.
This role is responsible for ensuring all vendor payments and port‑related cost settlements are processed accurately, on time and in line with standardized workflows, internal controls and settlement requirements.
You will work closely with Operations and Finance Managers across locations, support reconciliation and reporting activities, and drive continuous improvements across the Hong Kong–APAC payment setup.
This is a Hong Kong–based position with no business travel required.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee accurate and timely processing of vendor payments for the Hong Kong and APAC offices, ensuring invoices meet ready‑to‑pay criteria and port‑related cost settlements are completed before payment.
Ensure alignment, consistency and adherence to standard procedures across Hong Kong and APAC payment workflows.
Lead and supervise the APAC offices payment team in daily Accounts Payable activities, including invoice verification, payment list preparation and handling urgent payments.
Provide clear guidance to the APAC offices team, resolve operational issues and ensure strict compliance with standardized Accounts Payable and payment processes.
Maintain and enhance standard payment workflows, shared file structures, approval routing and urgent payment tracking procedures.
Review Accounts Payable aging reports, settlement status and bank/payment reconciliations, and follow up promptly on discrepancies and outstanding items.
Coordinate closely with Operations PICs, local Finance Managers and APAC offices leads on payment‑related queries, approvals and workflow updates.
Prepare and deliver regular updates on key payment issues, risks and process changes to the Hong Kong and APAC Finance Managers.
Support transition and change activities related to systems, workflows or process enhancements, contributing ideas to improve efficiency and control.

Ideal Candidates

Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity.
At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting or Accounts Payable experience.
Prior experience managing offshore or remote teams (e.g. APAC‑based teams) is a strong advantage.
Strong understanding of Accounts Payable processes, payment cycles and bank workflows.
Solid knowledge of approval workflows, vendor master controls and reconciliation procedures.
Experience with multi‑entity / multi‑location payment operations (preferably Hong Kong and APAC) is an advantage.
Familiarity with ERP and payment systems and online banking platforms is preferred.
Strong communication and coordination skills in English to work effectively with stakeholders in Hong Kong, APAC offices, Operations and offshore teams.
Supportive leadership style with a collaborative attitude, able to coach offshore teams and foster positive cross‑border working relationships.
