The Application Production Support Analyst will oversee the smooth functioning of applications within the financial services industry, ensuring optimal performance and swift issue resolution. This role will require technical expertise and problem-solving skills to support the technology department effectively.

Description

Act as a key contact for production issues during assigned shifts, owning incidents and service requests to ensure resolution within defined service-level targets (time and quality).
Provide enterprise application production support with focus on the technical features, performance, reliability, and optimization of assigned applications.
Respond to alerts related to application availability and performance, and enhance automated health‑monitoring capabilities.
Assist the Production Support team in triaging application incidents, applying experience and analysis to develop short‑term solutions and promptly restore service.
Lead Incident Management activities, including incident ticket ownership, timely communication with stakeholders, and escalation when necessary.
Serve as an application expert for business inquiries, ensuring timely responses to questions regarding application usage and capabilities.
Proactively research and escalate abnormalities to mitigate system issues or downtime.
Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) by prioritizing problems, identifying and validating root causes, and documenting workarounds when needed.
Develop continuous monitoring for core system functions.
Manage internal communications during major incidents as required.

Profile

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, with 3+ years of experience in systems analysis, development, or application/infrastructure support.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of identifying root causes, proposing effective solutions, and thinking beyond obvious issues.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally in incident situations.
Solid technical proficiency, including understanding of infrastructure components, basic programming concepts, and high computer literacy.
Strong SQL skills and good knowledge of database design principles.
Experience with APM/log analysis tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or ELK.
Familiarity with SWIFT messaging, file transfer technologies, and general internet technologies (preferred but not required).
Good understanding of ITIL processes; ITIL certifications are a plus.
Experience using ServiceNow or similar platforms for managing incidents and problems.
Ability to stay calm under pressure, multitask effectively, and collaborate with global teams.
