Responsibilities

Carry out a wide spectrum of accounting duties independently
Provide quality accounting services and financial advice to academic and administrative units
Compile budgets and prepare analyses comparing budget with actual figures
Perform cost re‐charging in accordance with Government regulations
Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and compiling returns required by the Government
Assist the supervisor(s) in process improvements and system enhancements
Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor(s)

Requirements

A recognized degree or equivalent qualifications in Accounting or related disciplines
A recognized professional accounting qualification, such as HKICPA or equivalent, is preferred
Relevant experience in one or more areas of accounting work, such as handling a full set of accounts, preparing financial statements and analyses, preparing budgets, processing accounts payables and receivables, managing project accounts, and writing reports
Proficiency in both written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
A good team player with strong attention to detail, analytical capabilities and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with multi-tasking skills
Excellent proficiency in MS Office applications
Experience in process improvements and system enhancements is preferred
Experience in the higher education or non-governmental organization sector is preferred

Salary and Benefits
The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
