The appointee will report to the Executive Director and support the directorate team in developing and implementing the key strategies of the Council:
Major responsibilities
- Steering and coordinating the business development planning and implementations in line with the direction of committees of the Council and the directorate team.
- Steering the formulation of policies, criteria and processes in line with the business development planning.
- Developing models pertaining to support business development.
- Serving as an interface for external stakeholders, including government units, clients and other organisations in line with the business development.
- Steering the development and implementations for relevant quality control systems pertaining to business development.
- Supporting the directorate in the coordination and carrying out of corporate governance and management initiatives.
- Carrying out management, supervisory, and leadership functions as assigned by the Executive Director.
Requirements
Applicants should hold at least a first degree comparable to HKQF Level 5, preferably with a post-graduate qualification at HKQF Level 6 or above. Substantial work experience in the education sector and quality assurance related fields are essential, along with an in-depth knowledge and a sound understanding of the local and international education system, qualifications standards and quality assurance. The candidate must have strong management skills with passion and abilities to drive change and innovation. He/She concerned should have a very positive attitude in driving development and organizational change in line with organizational development needs. A good track record in leadership, project development, and management is critical. The successful candidate should be proactive, reflective, and independent with foresight, and exhibit excellent teamwork capabilities. Essential skills required include strong organizational, networking, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is also required.

Initial appointment will normally be made on a two-year contract subject to renewal. We offer competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, contract-end gratuity, plus fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits.
