Pacific Basin is one of the world’s leading owners and operators of modern Handysize, Supramax and Ultramax dry bulk ships. We are listed in Hong Kong and operate globally with a fleet of over 250 ships trading worldwide, providing a sector-leading freight service to 600+ customers. Our team comprises over 4,000 seafarers and 400 shore staff in 14 key locations around the world.

As part of a programme to further enhance our communications, we are looking for a talented Corporate Communications Senior Manager to bridge strategy and execution in our Communications team. The successful candidate will report to and partner closely with the Corporate Affairs Director to enhance and implement the communications strategy and lead day-to-day delivery of engaging, informative and high-quality communications that strengthen our corporate image and stakeholder engagement, while supervising and collaborating closely with the Communications Manager.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute communications initiatives to advance our goals and priorities
Create and maintain a regular flow of high-quality content across channels, including press releases, social media, corporate reports, website, intranet, digital marketing, etc.
Manage social media strategy and content planning to ensure timely, impactful engagement
Ensure strategic alignment and consistency in messaging and storytelling with brand and values
Drive internal communications in collaboration with HR to strengthen employee engagement and culture
Elevate brand visibility and corporate image through strategic messaging and engagement activities
Cultivate and manage relationships with external stakeholders, including media, agencies and related service providers
Oversee media monitoring and support crisis communication planning and response
Collaborate with Communications team colleagues and other teams, ensuring timely, high-quality execution of initiatives

Skills, Capabilities & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or similar
12+ years’ experience in corporate comms or marketing, with 5+ years in a leadership role would be preferable
Expertise in corporate communications, digital marketing, social media strategy, content creation, brand management and stakeholder engagement
Excellent native-English written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to craft compelling narratives
Proficient in photography, photo & video editing, and graphic design
Strong ability to manage budgets and deliver measurable communication outcomes
Shipping industry experience and Chinese language would be an advantage
Eligible to work in Hong Kong is essential
