COLLEGE OF PROFESSIONAL AND CONTINUING EDUCATION

College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE) was founded in 2002 as a self-financed college of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). CPCE oversees the operation and development of its two educational units, namely Hong Kong Community College (HKCC) and School of Professional Education and Executive Development (SPEED), with the aim of fostering synergy in providing quality education.

The College now invites applications for the following posts:

Division of Social Sciences, Humanities and Design

Lecturer in Design (Interaction Design / System Design / Digital Media)

Lecturer in Humanities (Digital Media / Cultural Studies) (Ref. 260116-02)

Duties

The appointees will be required to:

(a) engage in teaching;
(b) provide support to course planning and development;
(c) carry out research and scholarly work;
(d) contribute to academic administration, and
(e) perform any other duties as assigned.

The appointees may be required to take up assignments and work outside Hong Kong occasionally.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) a higher degree, preferably a doctoral degree in a related discipline;
(b) relevant teaching, research/consultancy and/or industrial experience;
(c) good teaching performance;
(d) a productive research profile and active engagement in professional or scholarly activities;
(e) proficiency in English and Putonghua, and
(f) good communication skills.

For the discipline area of Design, strong skills in AI/creative coding/immersive technology in teaching and/or academic research/scholarly activities would be an advantage.

For the discipline area of Humanities, strong AI skills in teaching and academic research would be an advantage.

Conditions of Service

An attractive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be made on a two-year contract.

Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.

Consideration of applications will commence on 30 January 2026 until the positions are filled.
