We are seeking an experienced Head of R&D to establish and lead a new Research & Development Centre focused on advanced lithium products and materials. This is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving innovation, setting up world-class R&D capabilities, and building a high-performing team.

The hiring company is a global leader in advanced energy materials, committed to driving innovation in sustainable technologies. With a strong international footprint and a reputation for excellence, they are now seeking for a Head of R&D to oversee the cutting-edge R&D centre in Hong Kong.

Description

Develop and execute R&D strategies aligned with business objectives and emerging technologies in the lithium industry.
Oversee the design and testing of new products or processes.
Monitor industry trends and advancements to identify new opportunities.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and sustainability goals.
Manage budgets and resources to optimise project efficiency.
Collaborate with global stakeholders on technology transfer and commercialisation of new products.
Lead the research and development team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Profile

Masters/ PHD degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
8+ years of experience in R&D for lithium products or battery materials, with proven leadership in setting up research facilities.
Strong knowledge of lithium compounds, processing technologies, and applications in energy storage.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, manage complex projects, and deliver innovative solutions.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Highly fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin
