School of Professional Education and Executive Development

Research Assistant (Ref. 251121-01)
[Appointment period: twelve months, with possibility of extension]

Duties

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the Research Grants Council (RGC) funded project - “Impact of Customers’ Knowledge and Primary Healthcare Initiatives on Customers’ Experiences of Service Quality Attributes, Consumption Values, Place Attachment, and Behavioural Intention: Multilevel Analysis of District Health Centres (DHCs)”. He/She will be required to:

(a) conduct literature review, data collection and analysis;
(b) assist the project team in complying with the project objectives, scope, timetable, and the expected deliverables;
(c) assist in collecting, analysing and presenting data from work undertaken;
(d) provide support for survey processes, including administering surveys/interviews and maintaining survey databases;
(e) be responsible for the planning and organisation of the related events of the project such as workshops, talks, exhibitions and tours, etc.;
(f) contribute to wider research project development and implementation;
(g) monitor the progress of the project and prepare regular reports to the Research Project Team and/or funding body in a timely manner, and
(h) perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

(a) an honours degree or an equivalent qualification;
(b) proficiency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis software;
(c) good analytical skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills;
(d) a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese;
(e) a solid command of MS Office applications;
(f) ability to work independently and complete multiple tasks under tight timelines, and
(g) positive work attitude, self-motivation and a sense of responsibility.

Possession of knowledge of software packages such as SPSS and NVIVO will be an advantage.
