Clerical Officer II (Reception and Records Office) (MPS Point 3 - 15, $17,200 - $35,080)

Job Requirements:

(a) Level 2/ Grade E or above in 5 subjects in HKDSEE or HKCEE, including Chinese Language and English Language/ English Language (Syllabus B) in pre-2007 HKCEE, or equivalent;

(b) Has proficiency in Office applications (e.g. Excel and Word); and

Preferred Attributes: Experience or qualification related to the duties of the post will be an advantage.

Major Duties:

(a) Serve as counter-in-charge to monitor the reception daily operations;

(b) Man reception counter, and deal with patient admission, registration, appointments and movement of Patient Records;

(d) Communicate with Clinic Manager and staff to facilitate patient appointment and treatment;

(e) Monitor the process of teaching patient assignment and report the status of the Hospital’s waiting list regularly;

(f) Provide training to Assistant Clerks on basic job profile involved in the counter;

(g) Handle difficult patients; and

(h) Submit statistical reports to Ci/c (R&R) as requested.

Package: Five-day week, 14 days’ annual leave and medical/ dental benefits. Successful candidate will be offered appointment at the entry point, MPS Point 3 ($17,200) per month with a two-year contract which is renewable, subject to satisfactory performance. An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. The amount of gratuity payable will be the sum which, when added to the Hospital’s contribution to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance (Cap. 485), equals to 10% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period.
