Commercial Banking – Global Payments Solutions
Hang Seng’s Commercial Banking (CMB) business provides customized one-stop financial solutions to our corporate customers, from prime small and medium-sized businesses to publicly listed companies.
Global Payments Solutions (GPS) offers a comprehensive range of cash management services from account and deposit management, payments and remittance, collection and receivables services, liquidity management and digital channel solutions to our corporate and commercial banking customers. We provide tailored solutions to our corporate customers as well as industries sector specific solution to our commercial banking customers. We are responsible to drive liabilities growth for the Commercial and Global Banking segments through the provision of leading cash management solutions to them. We are also steering the transaction banking FX growth for the bank. We focus on our customers’ needs in Greater China and aim to be the chosen one-stop cash management partner of choice for our customers across mainland China and Hong Kong.

We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Solution Sales Manager, Global Payments Solutions.
Principal responsibilities
- Deliver the financial and non-financial targets assigned.
- Maintain a comprehensive sales business momentum record in a timely manner to allow tracking of sales and business performance and sales quality.
- Work in close partnership with the Commercial Banking Coverage team and wider Global Payments Solutions (GPS) teams to identify and develop business opportunities.
- Collaborate with team members across functions in sales strategies, deal pipeline management, and conversion techniques.
- Build strong relationships with the designated portfolio and deepen wallet shares through products and market penetrations.
- Adopt a need-based advisory approach to understand customer requirements and share appropriate cash management solutions that meet those requirements.
- Strong in digital commercialization on market-trended scopes including API, AI Generation, etc.
- Strong product advisory skills to act as an expert to drive GPS product solutions including payment, collection, liquidity solution, and digital connectivity in a consultative manner.
- Independently lead the end-to-end GPS advisory sale process with senior stakeholders both externally and internally, including presentations in industry events, GPS case study write-ups, client testimonials, client planning, and wallet sizing as well as cross-selling.
- Good stakeholder management across different departments across the Bank and work closely for the Bank’s strategies.
- Work closely with the GPS Implementation and Client Service teams to ensure a smooth transition of client mandate into realized revenues, as well as to provide ongoing coverage in response to clients’ evolving challenges and requirements.
- Derive strategic client account plans for growth names and build sustainable pipelines to grow fee and deposit balance.
- Formulate, support, and drive Commercial Banking & GPS strategies, including participation in events, case study article writing, client testimonials, client planning, and wallet sizing activities.
- Feedback to the Global Payments Solutions Product teams on the competitive market landscape and client-specific requirements, to help drive product enhancements and developments as appropriate.
- Advise relationship management teams on updates of market trends, competitors’ landscape, regulatory changes, etc., to help respond to emerging customer needs and opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or relevant disciplines.
- Proven relevant experience in corporate cash and treasury sales management in leading financial institutions with proven sales track records. (Candidates with less experience can be considered for a junior position)
- Experience in product management and/or other transaction banking products (global trade/securities services) will be an advantage.
- Advanced knowledge in cash management products including payment, collection, liquidity solution, and digital connectivity.
- Strong analytical skills and able to use data driven approval for business strategy.
- Able to work under pressure with Key Performance Indicators.
- Highly motivated and achievement-driven with an ability to formulate and articulate sales strategies.
- Well-developed consultative selling, communication, presentation, interpersonal, and influencing skills with a track record in managing complex customer dynamics.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in written and verbal English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)
- Professional qualifications such as Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) and/or Certified Banker (CB) under Hong Kong Institute of Bankers (HKIB) would be an advantage.
