The Senior Software Engineer is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

This role focuses on building robust integrations across multiple technology platforms, tailored to the finance sector. You will collaborate closely with our internal teams and clients to deliver exceptional user experiences and seamless financial solutions.

Description

Design, develop, and maintain integrations with Sage Intacct and other platforms
Build and support web applications that complement accounting workflows
Develop scalable, reliable solutions across both back-end and front-end layers
Support front-end development using JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and frameworks like React or Vue
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions
Optimise code and applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability
Follow best practices in code quality, testing, documentation, and version control

Profile

Possess 4 years of commercial software development experience
Solid understanding of systems integration and RESTful APIs
Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, or Vue.js)
Familiarity with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
Experience with version control systems such as Git
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Desirable Skills

Experience working with accounting or financial software (Sage Intacct highly desirable)
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
