Responsibilities:

Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements, guidelines and industry standards related to underwriting and reinsurance in Hong Kong
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and codes of conduct governing the insurer's underwriting and reinsurance activities as well as internal policies
Monitor industry developments and regulatory changes, and update the organization's compliance framework accordingly
Review and analyze underwriting policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Review underwriting submissions, reinsurance contracts, and other relevant documents to verify compliance
Oversee reinsurance arrangements, including treaty and facultative agreements, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
Conduct regular compliance monitoring and reporting on underwriting and reinsurance activities
Ensure that policies and procedures are aligned with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field
Professional certification in compliance, insurance, or a related field (e.g., CPC, CIC, FLMI, ANZIIF) is an advantage
At least 8 years of experience in underwriting in the general insurance industry
Strong knowledge of Hong Kong insurance regulations, guidelines, and industry standards related to underwriting
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese, fluent in Putonghua is an advantage
Candidate with less experience will be considered as Manager
