RESEARCH AND INNOVATION OFFICE

Assistant Manager (Ref. 251015015-IE)

Reporting to the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates, the appointee will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the University’s InnoHK R&D Centres (the Centres).

Duties

The appointee will be required to:

(a) provide a full spectrum of accounting, finance and related administrative support to the Centres and the Office;

(b) perform a wide range of operational finance duties for the Centres, including but not limited to payments, payroll, cash flow forecasting, audit liaison and financial reporting;

(d) work closely with the Centres and the University’s Finance Office to facilitate smooth financial operations of the Centres;

(e) assist in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures for the Centres to comply with statutory and funding requirements; and

(f) perform any other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Innovation or his/her delegates.

Qualifications

Applicants should:

(a) have a recognised degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with professional qualification in Accounting;

(b) possess at least five years of post-qualification accounting or financial experience with hands-on experience in full-set company accounting, preferably with hands-on experience in government project and some supervisory duties;

(d) be proactive, organised and capable of managing multiples priorities under tight deadlines;

(e) have good interpersonal and communication skills;

(f) have a good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; and

(g) be proficient in accounting software and MS Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.

Conditions of Service

A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
