Cyber and Information Security Assistant Manager

Job Purpose:
To support the Cyber and Security Manager in building a high-performing security team, establishing comprehensive cyber defense sstems, managing critical security controls, and ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g. ISO 27001). Responsibilities include overseeing incident response, Privileged Access Management (PAM), vulnerability assessments, application security, and enforcement of security policies to safeguard organizational assets.

Key Responsibilities

Team Building & Management

Assist in recruiting, training, and mentoring security team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
Coordinate daily operations, assign tasks, and track progress to ensure alignment with team goals and project timelines.
Support skill development in areas such as incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and application security.

Security Control Management

Oversee firewall and Web Application Firewall (WAF) rule lifecycle, including design, review, implementation and auditing.
Conduct and manage vulnerability scans using tools such asTenabel, and application security assessments using SAST/DAST tools.
Administer PAM Solutions, including account provisioning, access reviews, session monitoring, and policy enforcement.
Support secure code review processes in collaboration with development teams.

Implement and maintain security tools and technologies (SIEM, endpoint security, etc.).

Conduct regular security assessments and audits.

Security Governance and Compliance

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Develop and enforce security policies and procedures.

Support audits and risk assessments.

Security Architecture and Engineering

Assist in designing and implementing secure systems and networks.

Support secure software development practices.

Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security into systems.
