We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Graduate School:

Senior Manger (Graduate School) (Ref: 25001PO)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Dean of the Graduate School or his nominee, the appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:

Coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the School, and matters related to finance and human resources, etc.;
Coordinating services and support for research postgraduate and professional doctoral programmes, in the areas of student recruitment, promotions, programme administrations, website maintenance, events, quality assurance, etc;
Reviewing and enhancing the administrative policies and procedures, workflows and systems, to suit the needs of admissions and academic activities of the School;
Managing and fostering effective relationships with other Schools of the University, and internal and external stakeholders;
Developing and implementing innovative strategies to deliver systematic, value-added support that enhances student success and overall programme excellence;
Leading and arranging professional student and career services, focusing on student engagement and development, and improving service efficiency;
Overseeing the production of admissions and promotional materials, including printed and online versions, to ensure accuracy and quality;
Providing secretarial support to the School Board, Research Degrees Committee, and other related committees;
Coaching and supervising team staff in daily operations according to the School’s policies and guidelines to achieve service excellence and operational efficiency and effectiveness;
Developing partnerships with overseas institutes for student and staff exchange;
Assisting the Dean in organising meetings, preparing reports and managing projects; and
Performing other duties as assigned by the Dean or his nominee.

Candidates

Candidates should possess the following qualifications, experience and competence:

A recognized Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in health care-related disciplines such as psychology, counselling, social sciences, or related disciplines;
Proactive and devoted with strong leadership and supervisory skills;
Detailed-minded with excellent planning, organisational and problem-solving skills, and capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently;
Demonstrated to be flexible and adaptable, and able to respond proactively to rapidly changing needs;
Able to work collaboratively and independently with internal and external parties at all levels;
Good computer literacy, such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and familiarity with the use of technology in administrations;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
Strong commitment and capacity to embrace new challenges.

* Candidates may be invited to attend a written test.

Applicants with less relevant experience may be considered for appointment as Manager.

An attractive remuneration package, including basic salary, an end-of-contract gratuity, and a discretionary incentive payment, where applicable, will be offered to the right candidates.
