Duties
The appointee will work in the laboratories of School of Medical and Health Sciences (MHS). His / Her duties include but not limited to:

Providing technical advice and support to laboratory users;
Facilitating laboratory users to conduct demonstration, teaching and learning in laboratory classes for undergraduate and sub-degree students;
Performing regular maintenance of all laboratory equipment and facilities to ensure smooth operation of the Medical Science and Life Science laboratories;
Assisting students in the procedural / practical steps during laboratory classes;
Assisting in supervision of students in the laboratories;
Assisting in regular stock maintenance and procurement;
Assisting in project, research and consultancy activities of the teaching staff;
Enforcing laboratory safety in the teaching laboratories;
Assisting in the implementation of Health and Safety policies of the College; and
Performing any other duties as assigned by the Dean / Lab Director.

Requirements

Applicants should:

possess a Bachelor’s degree in Biological / Biomedical / Microbiological / Chemical Sciences or a relevant discipline;
have some relevant working experience in laboratories of a tertiary institution / clinic / hospital;
have good knowledge of health and safety practices; and
possess IT and computer knowledge.

Working in irregular hours including Saturdays and Sundays may be needed when necessary.

Salary will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
