Role Purpose:
We are looking for an Exams Operations Officer to support the secure and efficient delivery of exams in a small or remote office setting. The role involves handling confidential materials, managing Venue Supervisors, resolving operational issues, and coordinating communication with customers and venues. You will also serve as the main point of contact on test days, which may include weekend work as part of your contracted hours.
Main Accountabilities:
In this role, you will ensure the secure handling of confidential materials and manage the preparation and execution of Test Day operations in line with British Council standards. You will work closely with the Cluster Operations team, often responding to short-notice changes, to ensure resources are effectively allocated and exams are delivered efficiently and compliantly.
The role involves managing performance dashboards, coordinating venue staff engagement, and overseeing logistical activities such as sorting, packing, transporting, and reconciling exam materials. You will support venue selection, ensure proper use of Test Day resources, and be responsible for handling customer and stakeholder inquiries, escalating issues when needed, and contributing to continuous service improvement.
In addition to supporting compliance, risk management, and audit reporting, you will act as a key point of contact for venue staff on the ground. You’ll also manage internal communication around incidents or complaints, ensure adherence to operational policies, and contribute to performance analysis and post-Test Day reviews. This role includes resource monitoring and light financial oversight, along with coordination of tasks across internal teams and contractors to ensure service quality and operational excellence.
