What you’ll learn & achieve:

Under general supervision, performs laboratory support functions and a wide variety of administrative duties including data entry, procurement, word processing and filing. Assists in coordinating schedules and performing special tasks as needed. May plan laboratory office support activities and evaluate results.

Applicants will be responsible for data entry, inventory management, filing, and other administrative duties necessary for the smooth functioning of laboratory office operation
With strong arithmetic and problem-solving abilities, applicants in this position will need to efficiently manage workflow to provide high-quality support to laboratory management
Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for managers and supervisors
Maintain and update laboratory files, records, and databases
Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including phone calls, emails, and mail
Manage lab supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports
Provide general support for visitors and employees
Organize and facilitate company events and meetings
Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Monitor Laboratory expenditures and assist in budget preparation
May procure equipment or materials/supplies on behalf of the laboratory
Read and follow the UL Standards of Business Conduct, and follow all physical and digital security practices
Performs other duties as directed

What makes you a great fit:

Higher Secondary Education or above
Generally three to five years or more of related experience or demonstrated competence
Good knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Language abilities: Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English
Good time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Good organizational skills and attention to detail
Effective verbal and written communication skills, and a passion for supporting the team's success
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
Familiarity with office equipment (e.g., printers and fax machines)
Able to think on their feet and work well under pressure while meeting demanding standards
Basic knowledge of common laboratory tests and equipment used within the conformity assessment industry
Ability to read and interpret documents such as operations, maintenance and procedure manuals
