In a major relief for business owners before Christmas, the HKMA announced late yesterday (Dec 23) that the application period for the 80% Guarantee Product under the SME Financing Guarantee Scheme (SFGS) is extended for another 12 months.
This gives struggling SMEs more runway to retain staff through the Q1 2026 retail slump.
