About Turoid

Turoid helps investment firms turn high-friction operating work into implemented AI workflows. We are now building an AI-native fund operations and administration capability—starting with Annum’s own fund operations and expanding into external fund administration mandates.

The role

We are looking for a Founding Fund Accountant to own the accounting and operational core of this new business line.

You will run day-to-day fund accounting and operations, work directly with clients and service providers, and partner with our product and engineering team to redesign manual processes as controlled, traceable AI-enabled workflows.

This is not a conventional back-office role, and it is not a software engineering role. It is for an experienced fund accountant who wants to combine technical accounting judgement, client delivery and hands-on business building.

What you will do

• Own fund accounting and operational delivery for Annum and future fund administration clients

• Prepare and review NAV calculations, management accounts and supporting workpapers

• Reconcile cash, investments, positions and transactions; investigate and resolve breaks

• Process subscriptions, redemptions, capital activity, fees, accruals and expense allocations

• Prepare investor statements, operational reports and audit-ready schedules

• Coordinate with auditors, banks, brokers, custodians, tax advisers and other service providers

• Support financial statement preparation and FATCA/CRS or other required reporting

• Build practical SOPs, review controls, exception handling and evidence trails

• Identify repetitive work that can be automated safely

• Translate fund administration requirements into workflow logic and product requirements

• Test AI-enabled workflows while preserving human review, approval and accountability

• Help scope, onboard and serve new fund administration mandates as the business grows

What we are looking for

• Hands-on experience in fund accounting, fund administration or fund operations

• Strong knowledge of NAV production, reconciliations, fund flows and investor activity

• Experience supporting audits and preparing clear, reviewable working papers

• High attention to detail and sound accounting judgement

• Confidence communicating with clients and external stakeholders

• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting or fund administration systems

• An operator’s mindset: you can execute accurately, improve the process and document the control

• Curiosity about AI and automation; coding experience is not required

• Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving, founder-led environment

Helpful, but not essential

• CPA, ACCA or equivalent qualification

• Experience with private funds, hedge funds, family offices or other alternative investment structures

• Familiarity with IFRS/HKFRS, performance or management fee calculations, FATCA/CRS and regulatory reporting

• Experience onboarding funds or managing client relationships

• Experience improving workflows or working with product and engineering teams

Why join

• Become a founding member of a new fund operations and administration business line

• Shape the service model, operating controls and product direction from day one

• Work directly with founders, clients and engineers

• Build practical AI workflows around real fund operations—not generic demos

• Grow with the business as we take on more mandates

Location and employment

Full-time, on-site in Central & Western District, Hong Kong SAR.

How to apply
