Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive, analytical Finance & Accounting Manager to own our financial operations, statutory compliance, and strategic financial planning. Working closely with executive leadership and supported by dedicated Accounts & Admin staff who handle day-to-day transactional execution, you will drive financial closing, cash flow modeling, tax compliance, and commercial analysis to guide business growth.

What You Will Do:

Financial Accounting & Governance

Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
Prepare full-set management accounts, P&L statements, balance sheets, and executive financial reports.
Maintain general ledger integrity, oversee revenue recognition, and monitor cost allocations.
Review and verify transactional inputs (AP/AR, invoicing, expense reconciliations) managed by administrative accounts staff.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

Build and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts, monitor company burn rate, and optimize working capital.
Drive annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes in alignment with departmental goals.
Conduct variance analysis (Actual vs. Budget) to highlight financial risks and efficiency opportunities.
Develop financial models to evaluate new business initiatives, pricing strategies, and operational ROI.

Tax, Audit & Statutory Compliance

Lead relations with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure full audit readiness.
Manage corporate tax computations, statutory filings, and compliance with local Hong Kong regulations.
Establish and enforce internal financial controls, spending approval matrices, and accounting governance policies.

Systems & Workflow Automation

Maintain and optimize cloud accounting tools and modern financial integrations.
Identify operational bottlenecks and implement automation to streamline reporting and expense management.

What We Are Looking For:

Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; active HKICPA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification required.
Experience: 5–8 years of accounting/finance experience, ideally blending Big 4 audit training with in-house experience in a high-growth startup, fintech, or SME.
Technical Skills: Advanced financial modeling capability (Excel / Google Sheets) and hands-on experience with cloud accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.).
Regulatory Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and Hong Kong tax regulations.
Mindset: Exceptional attention to detail, commercial acumen, and the ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

Prior experience in fintech, lending, or tech scale-up environments.
Proven track record of leveraging AI or automated workflows to enhance finance team leverage.
