We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Billing Coordinator who is responsible for coordinating and executing attorney billing, ensuring accurate invoicing, resolving billing issues, and managing inventory.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide billing materials to attorneys for fee updates and invoicing, ensure accuracy, billing on schedule and in compliance with firm’s billing arrangement.
Review pre-bill and edit bills / time entries in response to attorneys’ and client’s request, ensure accurate billing, adhere to client-specific requirements and in compliance with tax requirements.
Coordinate with attorneys to ensure timely billing. Assist with obtaining info for collection projections when required.
Respond to billing inquiries in a timely manner.
Submit invoices electronically and assist in resolving issues arise.
Monitor payment status for client-paid vendor invoices, process on account applications and write offs as per firm’s policy.
Maintain billing documentation filing on system, ensure accuracy and adequate approvals for all discounts and write-offs.
Assist with special projects / provide back-up assistance as needed.

Skills and experience

3 to 4 years of billing experience in a law firm is preferred.
Knowledge of 3E billing system or comparable system is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
Ability to prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities.
Ability to work with strict time constraints and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively communicate information.
Pleasant, professional, proactive and organized.
Strong team player with excellent communication.
Flexibility to adapt to different work situations and work varied hours as needed.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel and Word.

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
