Job Summary

We are looking for a Finance Officer to support the financial operations of our licensed Money Service Operator (MSO) business. You will be responsible for accounting, reconciliations, payment processing, treasury support, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Working closely with the Operations, Compliance, and Banking teams, you will help ensure accurate financial records and smooth day-to-day finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Process daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, journals, and general ledger entries.
Perform bank, customer funds, and settlement account reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Process vendor and operational payments while supporting treasury and cash flow monitoring.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, budgeting, and audits.
Coordinate with banking partners on account operations and documentation.
Maintain accurate financial records and support compliance with MSO regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
Perform other ad hoc finance and administrative duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
2–5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Experience in fintech, payments, banking, financial services, or an MSO environment is preferred.
Good understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and payment operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or ERP systems.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills in English; Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications

Professional qualification in Accounting (LCCI, HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience supporting licensed financial institutions or regulated businesses.
Understanding of AML/CFT operational processes within payment or remittance businesses.
Experience working with multi-currency transactions and cross-border payments.
