What you'll do

Fund Accounting: Maintain the general ledger for multiple private equity funds and SPVs. Manage end-to-end fund accounting activities including capital calls, distributions, and financial reporting. Perform month-end and quarter-end closings, ensuring all accruals and valuations are accurate.
Capital Management: Support capital call and distribution processes, including calculating partner allocations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and send quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS or US GAAP, and coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits. Support regulatory reporting processes.
SPV Management: Oversee the financial lifecycle of SPVs, from incorporation through liquidation, ensuring intercompany reconciliations.
Waterfall & Carry: Calculate and track complex distribution waterfalls and carried interest in line with Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs).
Internal communication: Liaise with Fund Administration team members as well as cross-functional teams to maximise transparency and therefore efficiency in service delivery.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and enhance data integrity within the fund administration platform, supporting scalability.
Other duties: Interacting with clients and maintaining good corporate relationships, assisting with tasks related to fund accounting as required by your manager or the client.
Investor Services: support the processing of subscription agreements, transfer requests, and respond to investor inquiries regarding capital activity and fund performance.
Cash Management: Payment processing in accordance with anti-money laundering regulations, bank account and liquidity monitoring, preparation of bank account-related forms and wire transfer forms.

What you'll contribute

Minimum of 4 years of experience in fund accounting, specifically within Private Equity, Venture Capital, or Real Estate. Experience with SPVs is essential.
Strong understanding of Private Equity legal structures, LP/GP dynamics, and GAAP/IFRS reporting standards, and familiarity with Limited Partnership Agreements (LPAs).
Strong understanding of fund lifecycle, financial reporting, and investor servicing.
Good communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or ACCA qualification is highly preferred.
Proficiency in fund accounting software would be advantagous.
Deep understanding of capital calls, distributions, waterfall calculations, and complex multi-tier entity structures.
