This is a hands-on role, not a review-only one. As Finance Manager based in Hong Kong, you will personally run the day-to-day finance operations of our Hong Kong licensed entities — handling bank and settlement transactions, keeping the books, and closing the accounts — while supporting the wider group's intercompany flows and reporting. You will also support the preparation and review of our Singapore and mainland China financial statements, working with the Singapore team and the outsourced accounting firm in the PRC. It is a role for someone who is comfortable owning the numbers end-to-end in a fast-scaling, multi-entity fintech environment.

Job Descriptions

Report to the Finance Director (Singapore HQ) and act as the hands-on finance lead for the Hong Kong licensed entities, working closely with the HK team.
Handle the full set of accounts and overall day-to-day financial operations of the HK entities, including hands-on bookkeeping and journal entries.
Process and record daily bank and payment / settlement transactions; monitor cash positions, maintain clean bank reconciliations, and keep clearing and suspense accounts fully reconciled.
Manage month-end and year-end closing, ensuring completeness and proper cut-off, and prepare monthly management accounts and reporting.
Handle and reconcile intercompany transactions across all group companies (SG / HK), including recharges, eliminations and reconciliation of intercompany balances.
Support the preparation and / or review of the Singapore and mainland China financial statements, coordinating with the Singapore team and the PRC outsourced accounting firm.
Conduct balance sheet reviews and maintain proper documentation and audit trails appropriate to a licensed, regulated environment.
Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, banks, company secretary and service providers on HK statutory audit, profits tax computations, employer's returns and Companies Registry / IRD filings.
Support financial data requests for licence-related reporting across the group as required.
Participate in the group finance system implementation and drive continuous improvement of accounting, reconciliation and reporting workflows.
Keep up to date with HKFRS / IFRS and HK tax developments to ensure compliance with corporate policies and statutory requirements.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; HKICPA / ACCA qualification or equivalent.
Minimum 6 years of relevant accounting / finance experience with hands-on ownership of a full set of Hong Kong accounts, including at least one complete HK statutory audit and profits tax cycle; comfortable operating as a sole finance contributor and running the HK finance function independently.
Solid technical knowledge of HKFRS / IFRS and group consolidation / intercompany practices.
Genuinely hands-on with month-end close, bank reconciliations, bookkeeping and journal posting — comfortable doing the work, not only reviewing it.
Experience preparing or reviewing Singapore and / or mainland China (PRC GAAP) financial statements is a strong advantage.
Prior experience in fintech, payments, virtual assets or a licensed financial institution (payment institution, MSO, TCSP, SFC-licensed firm, bank) is preferred.
Proficient in English, Cantonese and Mandarin — Mandarin is essential for coordinating with the mainland China outsourced accountants and reviewing PRC statements.
Experience with ERP / accounting systems (e.g. Xero, NetSuite, SAP) is an advantage; experience with a finance system migration is a plus.
Analytical, detail-oriented and proactive, with a strong control mindset and the ability to own a deadline-heavy calendar across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
