Our client is one of the largest professional services firms globally. Due to business needs, an AML/KYC professional is needed to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

Complete AML due diligence for firm clients, with priority for Asia-based offices and matters involving US-based attorneys practicing in relevant jurisdictions.
Conduct Client Due Diligence (CDD) on entities using public and internal sources.
Liaise with partners and clients to obtain necessary information.
Perform Politically Exposed Person (PEP) and sanctions screenings, with emphasis on Chinese-language name searches.
Update firm systems and databases accurately and promptly.
Monitor and evaluate AML tools and databases.
Stay current on AML regulatory developments in Singapore, Hong Kong, and China.
Assist in maintaining and updating AML policies and procedures for the region.
Compile documentation for management review and sign-off.
Conduct follow-ups, ongoing monitoring, and periodic reviews of client files.
Support process improvements and implementation of efficient workflows.
Assist in onboarding and training new joiners on AML policies.
Participate in team meetings and provide backup coverage for colleagues.
Escalate any compliance concerns or issues to the MLRO immediately.
Undertake additional tasks and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience performing CDD on entities and individuals (law firm experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of AML legislation and regulatory guidance.
Proven corporate research skills using databases, internet, and other sources.
Fluent in Mandarin (reading, writing, and speaking).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and firm applications (training provided).
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
