We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Accountant to provide accounting and finance support to a portfolio of client companies operating across Asia.

Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer, client management teams, and external accountants, you will be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance, supporting business growth, and driving continuous improvement across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Accounting

· Prepare and review monthly management accounts for multiple client companies.

· Manage the month-end close across a portfolio of client entities.

· Review accounting records prepared by client finance teams and external accountants.

· Prepare consolidated financial reports and analyse financial performance.

Financial Control & Compliance

· Ensure compliance with each client’s accounting policies, statutory obligations and local accounting standards.

· Coordinate annual statutory audits and liaise with external auditors.

· Assist with tax compliance and regulatory reporting.

· Monitor and recommend improvements to internal controls and accounting procedures.

Treasury & Cash Management

· Review bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.

· Assist clients with treasury and cash management planning.

· Review payment batches prior to approval.

· Assist with foreign exchange transactions and treasury activities where required.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

· Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts for client companies.

· Monitor actual performance against budget and investigate variances.

· Prepare financial reports and analysis for senior management.

Systems & Process Improvement

· Assist with the improvement of accounting systems and finance processes.

· Standardise accounting procedures across multiple countries.

· Identify opportunities to automate and improve finance workflows.

· Support finance integration projects following acquisitions or business expansion.

Cross-Border Finance Support

· Work closely with the management teams, finance personnel and external accountants of multiple client companies across Asia.

· Coordinate with external accountants, payroll providers, and advisors.

· Travel to overseas offices when required to support finance operations.

· Provide guidance and support to junior finance staff where required.

Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

· Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.

· Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within an accounting firm, outsourced accounting practice, multinational organisation, or multi-entity environment.

· Experience managing multiple clients or legal entities simultaneously.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.

· Experience coordinating statutory audits and working with external accountants.

· Experience using cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks Online, SAP, Oracle, or similar.

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills and financial analysis capability.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

· High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

· Fluent in English. Mandarin is highly desirable, and additional Asian languages would be an advantage.

· Willingness to travel within Asia as business requirements dictate.
