About The Role

We are hiring a seasoned, hands-on Financial Controller to oversee the end-to-end financial operations, reporting, compliance, and internal controls for our global subsidiary portfolio spanning Europe, South America and North America.

Based in Hong Kong, this pivotal leadership role will standardize global accounting practices, ensure cross-border financial accuracy and regulatory adherence, and deliver high-quality financial insights to support group-wide strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Group Consolidation

Lead and oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close cycles for all overseas subsidiaries, ensuring strict adherence to closing timelines and quality standards.
Prepare, review and finalize group consolidated financial statements in full compliance with IFRS, delivering accurate and standardized financial outputs.
Produce timely, insightful financial reports for global headquarters and senior leadership teams.
Conduct in-depth financial performance analysis, identify business trends, risks and opportunities, and provide data-driven actionable recommendations to drive business growth.

Technical Accounting & Global Compliance

Ensure full accounting compliance with IFRS, HKFRS/HK GAAP, and U.S. GAAP across all group entities.
Collaborate closely with local overseas finance teams and external professional advisors to meet regional statutory filing, tax reporting and regulatory requirements in Ireland, Israel, the US and Mexico.
Proactively monitor updates to global accounting standards and financial regulations, conduct impact assessments, and drive group-wide policy adjustments accordingly.

Global Finance Leadership & Standardization

Provide professional financial leadership and operational guidance to distributed international finance teams.
Develop and roll out unified global accounting policies, financial workflows and internal control protocols to standardize practices across all jurisdictions.
Review balance sheet reconciliations, complex journal entries and financial reporting packages to ensure accounting treatment consistency globally.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

Build, optimize and sustain robust group-wide internal control frameworks to mitigate financial and operational risks.
Identify potential financial vulnerabilities and design, implement targeted risk mitigation strategies.
Coordinate and support internal and external audit procedures, ensuring timely resolution of all audit findings and continuous control improvement.

Strategic Business Partnering

Partner with regional business leaders to support commercial strategy, investment decisions and operational planning via professional financial analysis.
Advise on accounting and financial implications for corporate initiatives, M&A activities, intercompany transactions and new business development projects.
Participate in annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and long-term group financial planning processes.

Treasury & Cash Management

Monitor global cross-border cash flow and group liquidity status to ensure stable capital operation.
Oversee intercompany fund allocation, foreign exchange risk management and global cash optimization strategies.
Maintain and manage global banking relationships to support international business operations.

Finance Process Optimization

Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting workflows and automation capabilities to enhance team efficiency.
Lead finance transformation projects and ERP system optimization initiatives across the global finance function.
Champion industry best practices to elevate the overall operational maturity of the global finance team.

Requirements

Native Fluent in English.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related business discipline.
Possess professional accounting qualification: CPA, CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent global certification.
Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting working experience with solid multinational corporate experience.
Proven track record in Financial Controller, Regional Controller or equivalent senior finance leadership role.
Big 4 public accounting audit experience is highly preferred.
