We are currently seeking a QUALITY DIRECTOR, SDA to join our dynamic team in our Hong Kong Office.

Overview

Reporting to the Group Quality Director, you will partner closely with Product Development, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, and external manufacturing partners to build a robust quality management system that supports business growth, product innovation, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities Include but not limit to:

Quality Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute the global SDA Quality strategy aligned with business objectives.
Establish quality standards, policies, procedures, and governance across the SDA product portfolio.
Drive a proactive quality culture focused on prevention, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.
Build and lead a high-performing Quality organization through coaching, development, and succession planning.
Define and monitor Quality KPIs, providing regular reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. Conduct market research and generate ideas for product line-ups.

Product Quality Management

Own the overall product quality throughout the product lifecycle, from concept development through production and post-launch.
Partner with Product Development and Engineering teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated during product design and development.
Establish Quality Management Plans for all new product launches.
Ensure robust validation, reliability testing, safety testing, and product certification activities are completed before commercialization.
Review customer quality requirements and ensure they are fully incorporated into product development and manufacturing processes.

Supplier Quality Management

Develop supplier quality strategies and performance management systems.
Lead supplier qualification, capability assessments, and factory audits.
Build strong partnerships with suppliers to improve manufacturing capability and product consistency.
Drive supplier corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes and monitor effectiveness.
Evaluate supplier quality performance through scorecards, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Manufacturing & Process Quality

Ensure manufacturing processes consistently deliver products that meet company quality standards.
Drive process capability improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, DOE, and other quality methodologies.
Oversee production quality control, shipment inspections, incoming inspections, and process audits.
Lead investigations into major quality incidents and implement sustainable corrective actions.

Regulatory Compliance & Product Safety

Ensure all SDA products comply with applicable international regulations and safety standards across Europe, North America, Australia, Asia, and other global markets.
Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements and communicate changes across the organization.
Manage relationships with testing laboratories, certification bodies, and external compliance partners.
Oversee product certification, factory compliance, and shipment compliance activities.

Profile

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Master's degree is an advantage.
Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in Quality Management within the Small Domestic Appliances, Consumer Electronics, Electrical Appliances, or Consumer Goods industry.
Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing regional or global quality teams.
Strong experience working with OEM/ODM manufacturing environments in China and Asia.
Extensive knowledge of international product safety and regulatory requirements, including CE, UL, ETL, GS, UKCA, SAA, CB Scheme, RoHS, REACH, LFGB, FDA, and other relevant standards.
Proven experience in supplier quality management, factory audits, quality systems implementation, and product compliance.
Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001), quality tools, and continuous improvement methodologies including Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FMEA, CAPA, Root Cause Analysis, and Design Validation.
Experience managing quality performance across multiple international markets.
