Senior Relationship Manager (Hong Kong)

The Access Bank UK Limited, Hong Kong Branch (a restricted license bank) is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Access Bank UK Ltd and is the first West African bank in the city to promote Asia-Africa trade flows. The Branch offers a broad range of products and services to assist with trade and corporate needs in Africa and Asia.

The Access Bank UK Limited, Hong Kong Branch is situated in the Central District of Hong Kong Island and is regulated by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Relationship Management (Hong Kong), the role will support establishing Access Bank’s presence in the Hong Kong market. This position requires leveraging experience in trade finance and commercial banking to support the Hong Kong Branch in meeting its business revenue targets while maintaining compliance with local regulatory requirements.

The role will be required to undertake complex sales processes and/or sales of products to sector specific markets. Retention of quality business by maintenance of relationships/consultancy with existing/prospective customers will occur.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify prospects and generate contact programme.
Identify customer requirements, analyse needs and match these to the appropriate service to be sold (bespoke where necessary).Typically through customer meetings and response to tender documents.
Give tailored presentations and/or demonstrations of products and identify features and benefits that meet the customer needs to progress the sale.
Analyse evolving customer needs through consultancy relationship building.
Co-ordinate implementation process of sales made.
Manage own compliance/contingency/risk issues, adhering to HKMA regulations and guidelines, as well as internal Bank policies.
Undertake presentation and develop relationships within and outside the Bank to promote products and services.

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

Proven and strong experience in trade finance and commercial banking.
Sales experience.
Proven interpersonal skills.
Product Knowledge – specific.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in area of specialism.
Professionally qualified.
