The Accounting Officer is responsible for supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations for the Hong Kong sourcing office. This role supports monthly closing, annual budgeting, statutory compliance, and financing‑related matters for China and other Asia production countries, ensuring accurate financial records, effective cost control, and timely support to sourcing and regional finance teams.

Job Responsibilities

Handle daily accounting transactions including accounts payable, receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations; prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules for monthly and year-end closing.
Support annual budgeting for the Hong Kong sourcing office—data gathering, cost analysis, consolidation—and track actuals versus budget with variance analysis; assist in budget revisions and expense monitoring.
Process vendor invoices, teammate expense claims, and intercompany charges; coordinate payment runs, manage outstanding payables, and resolve discrepancies with internal teams and vendors.
Support financing and accounting matters for China and other Asia production countries—including sourcing-related payments, intercompany settlements, cash flow monitoring, and trade financing documentation—ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal controls.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a sourcing, trading, or multinational company.
Proficient in accounting ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) and experience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g. Workday, SAP, Oracle) are an advantage.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills; highly self-motivated and detailed-oriented.
Good command of both written and spoken English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.
