Role Description The Head of Accounting is a full-time, on-site role based in Hong Kong. This position oversees the end-to-end accounting function, including the preparation, review, and consolidation of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies. The role includes managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting to internal stakeholders and regulators. The Head of Accounting will lead the accounting team, establish robust internal controls, monitor compliance, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve collaborating with finance and business units on budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and providing analytical insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to oversee complex financial operations and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
Expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including consolidation, regulatory reporting, and adherence to international and local accounting standards.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, perform variance and trend analysis, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly beneficial.
Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance leadership role within banking or financial services, ideally with regional or international exposure.
Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain strong internal controls, risk management practices, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to lead diverse teams and collaborate effectively across business units and geographies.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy, with the ability to perform under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
