About the role

Our client is a prominent, large-scale diversified conglomerate with a substantial footprint across the regions. As they continue to drive operational excellence to support their global growth, they are looking for a seasoned finance leader to join their team in Shenzhen to lead their core financial operations functions.

Summary of the role and key responsibilities

Manage the finance operations team and ensure the smooth execution of daily financial processes and reporting cycles.
Drive the long-term strategic development of the finance function, ensuring all activities are closely aligned with organizational goals to enhance efficiency and value creation.
Architect and maintain a robust accounting policy framework, establishing unified standards for bookkeeping, financial reporting, and complex transactional guidance across the group.
Lead high-level audit engagements and regulatory reporting requirements, while building a sustainable mechanism for monitoring accounting quality and resolving intricate financial technical issues.
Track and translate shifts in accounting standards and regulatory requirements into actionable policies, ensuring internal teams remain compliant and well-trained.
Direct the planning and implementation of enterprise-wide financial digitalization initiatives, taking ownership of management consolidation, budgeting systems, and the development of a centralized financial data platform.
Develop a comprehensive data governance structure, standardizing reporting metrics and master data to ensure all financial information is transparent, auditable, and actionable for leadership decision-making.
Act as a key advisor to senior management on critical financial matters and provide high-level insights to support strategic growth.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline.
Professional accounting qualification such as HKICPA, CICPA, AICPA, or ACCA is highly preferred.
Over 7 years+ experience in relevant field, with at least 3 years serving in a senior capacity leading full-scope accounting. Candidate must have experience worked with Big4 and commercial firm.
Technical proficiency in Hong Kong and international accounting standards, with a strong preference for individuals who have managed finance for multi-entity or diversified business groups is preferred.
Proven track record in end-to-end system implementation, specifically regarding the successful deployment of consolidation, budgeting, and data architecture projects.
Strong command of Mandarin and English for professional communication and documentation.
High level of professional integrity, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to uphold strict financial principles in a fast-paced environment.
