Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and product development activities from concept to mass production for smart home, automotive, or electromechanical products.
Develop and review mechanical designs, including component selection, 3D/2D drawings, specifications, BOM, engineering changes, and manufacturability improvements.
Drive NPI/NPD activities, including design validation, tooling review, pilot builds, production ramp-up, and mass production support.
Optimize product designs through DFM/DFA, tolerance analysis, reliability, assembly, and quality considerations.
Investigate and resolve engineering, manufacturing, and customer-related technical issues.
Collaborate with project, manufacturing, tooling, quality, electronics, and supplier teams to achieve project targets for quality, cost, and schedule.
Develop and execute test plans, analyze test results, and implement design improvements.
Mentor junior engineers through design reviews, technical guidance, and problem-solving support.
Prepare technical documentation and project reports.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of mechanical design and product development experience in smart home, automotive, consumer electronics, electromechanical products, or related industries.
Solid knowledge of plastic and metal part design, materials, manufacturing processes, and tooling.
Strong understanding of the full product development cycle, from concept development to mass production.
Familiar with DFMEA, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, and engineering validation processes.
Proficient in Creo (3D/2D CAD) or equivalent CAD software.
Experience with injection molding, metal parts, assembly processes, surface finishing, reliability testing, and quality control.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently drive design solutions.
Experience leading design reviews and coaching junior engineers is an advantage.
Good communication skills in English and Mandarin.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
